Insulation rubber sheet refers to the rubber sheet that with good physical properties, mechanical properties and excellent insulation properties.
Insulation rubber sheets can be divided into 5kv, 10kv, 20kv, 25kv, 35kv according to the voltage level; according to the color, they can be divided into: black rubber sheet, red rubber sheet, green rubber sheet.
Insulation rubber sheets are widely used in substations, power plants, power distribution rooms, laboratory roommates, and field live working. They are mainly made of rubber-based insulating materials. There should be no harmful irregularities on the upper and lower surfaces of the insulation rubber sheets. Harmful irregularity refers to the following characteristics: defects that damage uniformity and the smooth contour of the surface, such as small holes, cracks, local ridges, cuts, inclusions of conductive foreign matter, creases, voids, undulations, and cast marks. Harmless irregularity refers to the surface irregularities formed during the production process.
The main component of the insulation rubber sheet is rubber material. It is very unstable at first, easy to expand and retract, and it takes a short period of relaxation to be used normally. Otherwise, it is easy to cause an unsuitable size. The following is the precautions for storage of insulation rubber sheets.
Firstly, the warehouse where the insulation rubber sheets are stored must be ventilated and dry.
Second, the storage location must be kept away from heat source and chemicals.
Third, the storage location should be higher than the ground and the wall for 20cm.
Fourth, avoid being exposed to the direct sunlight.
What's more, there are different types of rubber sheets. Don't store them together. Because of the different types of sulfides, the temperature range of molding and curing is quite different. It may even be affected by climate change, indoor temperature and humidity. Thereby changing some of its property.
