Rock wool board has excellent thermal and thermal insulation properties, but its waterproof performance is poor, and it is easily affected by external conditions, thereby reducing its performance.
As we all know, the thermal insulation materials are all pore structures, the pores are filled with air, and the thermal resistance of the pores makes the materials have thermal insulation properties. Once affected by moisture and other external factors, the product's thermal insulation performance will be greatly reduced.
Therefore, when transporting rock wool materials, it is necessary to do a good job of waterproofing and rainproofing. During the construction process, special attention should also be paid to the following points.
1. Facilities and pipelines that need to be insulated should keep the surface dry, free of grease and corrosion. In order to prevent corrosion, protective coatings can be made on the surfaces of facilities and pipelines.
2. In order to reduce the heat loss, the joints of the board and the felt must be tightly connected. In the multi-layer insulation, the cross seams should be staggered to avoid the formation of thermal bridges, and the cold bridges must be eliminated during cold storage.
3. For outdoor insulation or places prone to mechanical wear, metal and plastic sheathing should be used. Pay attention to the seals at joints and seams. If necessary, add a rubber seal to ensure that the laminated part is not less than 100mm.
4. When the rock wool board is used for keeping cold, add a moisture-proof layer on the cold-side surface. Under extremely low temperature conditions, it is necessary to use resin-free rock wool for heat insulation. The moisture-proof layer must be fireproof.
5. If the use temperature of the rock wool board exceeds 200 ° C, it is necessary to add appropriate outer protection to avoid expansion, thereby avoiding changes in thickness and bulk density.
6. The insulation material needs to be placed vertically.
7. In the process of transporting rock wool, it is necessary to do a good waterproof treatment, and add a layer of sealed plastic film to the outer packaging. In addition, when special attention is required, do not carry out construction on rainy days.
