This paper compares the advantages of artificial turf with natural turf in terms of cost, environmental requirements, performance characteristics and maintenance.

Fires, cost: The cost of natural grass is much larger than that of artificial grass. From the sinker, transplanting turf, fertilizer, water diversion and maintenance, it is necessary to invest a large manpower and material cost. For areas with climate differences and water problems, it also involves how to maintain a constant temperature and solve the problem of water supply. There is no such problem in artificial turf. Only the lawn is laid well, and a proper drainage ditch can be set up; the amount of manpower and material cost in the early stage is small, and the maintenance cost is low.

Second, the environmental requirements: Natural grass need soil cultivation, need to go through loose soil, fertilizer, and other operations, requires the site must be solid soil to carry out the laying operation; and artificial grass does not require the site, can meet most of the site laying needs.

Third, the performance characteristics: Natural grass's weather resistance is poor, temperature difference is too large, insufficient air circulation, too much or too little watering, bad weather will affect the growth of natural turf, so you need to set up a water supply system and a comfortable and constant temperature environment. The cost is higher. The artificial turf can adapt to any harsh environment and maintain the original color and performance. Natural grass has poor wear resistance and is easy to break and damage after prolonged pressure and pedaling. Artificial grass is made of polypropylene fiber material and has good wear resistance. It is not easy tobe broken and damaged after trampling for a long time. Compared with natural grass, the artificial grass's surface layer has a network structure, which makes the artificial grass have strong elasticity and restoring force, and reduces the risk of bending and collapse. Natural lawns is susceptible to a variety of environmental factors and is prone to fading. Artificial turf has the properties of anti-UV and anti-fading, and it will not fade after thousands of hours of use. In addition, natural lawns do not contain heavy metals and are environmentally friendly and energy-saving materials. The surface of the artificial turf is moderately smooth, and the friction between the lawn and the sole is moderate, thus reducing the damage to the lawn when pedaling.

Fourth, maintenance: Natural turf's maintenance costs are high, whitch are often need to to transplant, cultivate, and trim grass, etc., whitch cost a lot of manpower and material resources; in contrast, artificial turf almost don't need maintenance.
