Influence of extrusion characteristics on rubber sheet

This article mainly introduces the extrusion properties of three common rubbers and their effects on the product, and provides methods to improve the extrusion properties of rubber.

Natural rubber. The natural rubber has excellent viscoelasticity. When extruded, its viscosity and elasticity coexist. For pure natural rubber compounds, rubber has poor heat transfer properties, large thermal expansion rates, and rough surfaces. Adding a large amount of reinforcing filler or an appropriate amount of inorganic filler (such as calcium carbonate, clay, etc.) to the rubber compound can improve the surface state of the extrudate. Adding recycled rubber, ointment, etc. is also very effective. This has a very significant impact on the production of rubber sheets, rubber sheets, and rubber floors.

SBR rubber sheet. Emulsion polystyrene butadiene rubber has poor extrusion performance, low gas plasticity, high elasticity, slow extrusion speed, large expansion rate, and rough surface of the extrudate; solvent polystyrene butadiene rubber generally has good extrusion performance Its process conditions are similar to those of natural rubber and polystyrene butadiene rubber. When the temperature of the barrel and the head are 90-100 ℃, the extrusion speed is fast, the surface is smooth and the expansion rate is small. focal. Combining styrene-butadiene rubber and natural rubber can improve its extrusion process performance, and adding a reinforcing filler can reduce the expansion rate. In addition, adding the right amount of paraffin and ointment is conducive to the extrusion operation.

CR neoprene. Chlorinated rubber extrusion process performance is relatively good, very close to natural rubber, but its extrusion speed is slow, the expansion rate and shrinkage rate are greater than natural rubber. Adding appropriate amounts of fillers and softeners to its formula can reduce the expansion rate to a certain extent, especially the high wear-resistant furnace black effect is the most significant.
