Generally speaking, waterproof materials are mainly divided into three categories: waterproof coiled materials, rigid waterproof materials, and flexible waterproof materials. The characteristics and functions of different waterproof materials are described below.
Waterproof rubber sheet. Waterproof rubber sheet are mainly used in construction, such as construction of roofs and exterior walls. 911 polyurethane waterproof material, containing volatile harmful gas, strict construction requirements, and the price is high; new polymer cement-based waterproof material, which is composed of organic polymer liquid material and inorganic powder compound, has high elasticity, durability, toughness and other advantages.
Rigid waterproof material. The rigid waterproof material is mainly composed of gravel and cement. Some products are added with a small amount of admixture, polymer and other materials, and the proportion of each component is controlled. This waterproof material has a low porosity, high compactness, excellent waterproof and impermeability.
Flexible waterproof material. The flexible waterproof material is a material relative to the rigid waterproof material, and is classified into a waterproof coating film and a waterproof coil material according to the adhesion form of the material base layer.
Most of the traditional waterproof materials are hard materials such as asphalt and coil. Due to its poor environmental performance, and with the improvement of people's living standards, people's environmental protection requirements for waterproof materials are also deepening, and soft waterproof materials just meet this requirement.
Earlier, people used asphalt waterproofing, but asphalt was easy to peel, which led to water leakage. People generally use the method of brushing paint to waterproof, but as the wind and sun will resulting in crack, it is necessary to add a protective layer based on the waterproof coating.
